MISSION STATEMENT
We, the students of the Public Safety Academy, in order to promote high standards, promote rights and the interests of the students, to acquire a better understanding of democratic principles and encourage active school spirit, pride and the highest degree of PRIDE; to unify ourselves into a strong and active organization; and to secure the cooperation of the school's faculty, administration, parents and students, to establish this constitution for the student body of the Public Safety Academy.
"We must become the change we want to see."
OUR VALUES
As the Student Council, we live by values which are strong and are meant to be kept, which is the key to being successful. This is why we have these values at the heart of the Student Council -- to make sure we are doing everything we possible can with value and efficiency.
Dedication
We work towards goals and events that we have set in the beginning of the year. Our goals are constantly updated to make sure they are able to be met. Our events, well, I guess you can say they are updated too because we collect feedback to improve them in the future.
Collaboration
We collaborate as a team to get the job done. Whether if its working with students, staff, or even other organizations; it is important for us to build a strong relationship in collaboration. Collaboration is the key in our event planning procedures.
Organization
We thoroughly plan an event before we execute it. Why? To make sure that the attendees will get the most out of it. Efficiently organizing an event will also help it proceed more smoothly as the planning and execution process is furthered.
Modernize
We constantly work with technology to modernize. We dislike using paper; it's about going green. That is why we rely on Google Drive, our online representative, and committee portals to go paper-less.
Excellence
We teach to empower. We draft, organize, standardize, and execute 100%-effort crafted assemblies to the students at the Public Safety Academy that are engaging. That's right, we do. Students teach at the assemblies. Our assemblies have content that are supported by Common Core and the International Society for Technology in Education standards.
Care
We care. Our school is an environment where people thrive, engage, learn, and enjoy. We care that these elements are constantly in effect on our school grounds. We take measures to fix them if something is wrong. We are a family and we support each other.
